Part 4055905105 is a genuine Electrolux micro switch harness with 4 switch points, wired together as one loom. Each micro switch sits on a gas tap and triggers the spark generator when that knob is pressed. With no model list on file, count the switches on your old harness and compare the plug before ordering.
Why a gas cooktop keeps clicking
Every time you push and turn a burner knob, the micro switch on that tap closes and tells the spark generator to fire. If a spill gets into a switch, or the contacts wear, the switch can stay closed and the ignition clicks non-stop, even with every knob off. The opposite fault leaves one or more burners with no spark at all. Moisture from cleaning is a common trigger, so let the cooktop dry out for a day first. If the clicking carries on, replacing the harness is the usual repair.

Fitting the switch harness
Isolate power at the wall and turn off the gas supply. The harness is reached from under or inside the cooktop, with one switch clipped to each gas tap. Photograph the routing and how each switch clips on before removing it, then fit the new harness the same way. Because the work is on a gas appliance, it should be carried out by a licensed gas fitter.
