The injector controls how much gas reaches the burner, so its size has to match what the manufacturer specifies for that burner and gas type. A natural gas injector for the same burner will be a different size and must never be swapped in.
What a gas injector does and when to replace it
Every gas burner has an injector, a small jet with a precisely drilled hole that sets how much gas flows into the burner. LPG runs at a different pressure and energy content to natural gas, so each gas type uses its own injector size. A blocked or damaged injector gives a small, lazy or uneven flame, a burner that's hard to light, or yellow flames and soot on pans. Injectors are also changed when an appliance is converted between natural gas and LPG. Never try to clean or enlarge the hole with a drill or wire, as that changes the gas flow and can be dangerous.

Fitting gas injectors
Changing a gas injector is work for a licensed gas fitter only. Turn off the gas supply at the isolation valve and switch off power to the appliance before starting. The fitter will confirm the injector size against the appliance data plate and gas type, use the correct spanner on the M5 thread, then leak test and check the flame on every burner after fitting.

Can I use this injector to convert my cooktop to LPG?
A conversion usually needs more than one injector, and may also need regulator and burner adjustments plus a new gas type label. In Australia it must be done by a licensed gas fitter using the conversion parts listed for your model.
