The fold down section of the rack lets you lay a row of tines flat when you need space for bigger items. A latch at each end of the row holds it up, then lets it drop when you press or lift it, and this part is the right hand latch. Fitting the right hand mechanism

Remove the basket from the machine first, as it is much easier to see the clip with the rack on a table. Take a photo of the old mechanism showing how it hooks around the wire frame. Unclip it gently, keeping the wire straight, then press the new right hand part into the same spot until it snaps home. Test the fold a few times before sliding the basket back in.
