It sits at the top of the cabinet so smaller items stay within easy reach instead of sinking to the bottom of the freezer.

Why replace a chest freezer basket

Without a basket, everything in a chest freezer ends up in one deep pile, and the item you want is always at the bottom. The basket gives you a top layer for things you use often, like ice packs, frozen vegetables or bread, and lifts out or slides aside to reach the rest. Baskets get bent from overloading or go missing when a freezer changes hands. A basket that no longer sits square can also stop the lid closing properly, letting warm air in and frost build up.

Part details

Genuine Westinghouse part 4055746426

Storage basket for chest freezers

Listed for WCM1400WE and WCM2000WE

Keeps frequently used items on a separate top layer

Fitting the basket

No tools are needed.
