As an assembly, it's the complete control box rather than a single switch or board, which makes it a direct swap when the unit as a whole has failed. Electrolux doesn't name the appliance in the catalogue description, so compare 4055703526 with the label on your existing control box before ordering.

What a control box does and signs of failure

A control box houses the parts that take your settings and switch the appliance's motors, lights, heaters or valves. Depending on the product, it may hold electronic boards, relays, switches or a mix of these. When it fails, the appliance may not power on, ignore buttons, run one function but not others, trip the power, or show a fault code. A burnt smell or discoloured housing near the box is a strong sign. Check fuses, wiring and the power supply first, as they can cause the same symptoms.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 4055703526

Complete control box assembly

No appliance listed in the part description

Match the label on your existing control box

Replacing the control box

Isolate the appliance at the switchboard or wall before removing any covers, and use a licensed electrician for hard wired products.
