Changing the drain pump

Switch off at the wall, turn off the tap and soak up the water in the sump with a sponge. On many models the pump is reached from underneath once the dishwasher is pulled out and laid on its back on a towel. Photograph the wiring, release the pump from the sump, fit the new one with its seal correctly seated, then run a rinse to check it drains without leaking.
