Product details
Part 4055617718 is a genuine thermostat for the V190 wine cabinet built by Vestfrost, the range sold here under the Vintec name. The thermostat decides when the cooling system runs, so it has a direct effect on how well your wine is kept. We don't hold a list of full model numbers for it, so check that your cabinet's model starts with V190 and quote the full number if you want us to confirm before you order.
Wine cabinet too warm or too cold? The thermostat may be at fault
Wine keeps best at a steady temperature, and the thermostat is what holds it there. It senses the cabinet temperature and switches the compressor on and off around the setting you choose. When it fails the cabinet may run all the time and get too cold, never start and slowly warm up, or swing well away from the set temperature. Frost building up inside or bottles that feel noticeably warm are other clues. Rule out a blocked condenser, a poor door seal and a dirty fan first, as these can look like a thermostat fault.

Fitting the thermostat
Turn the cabinet off at the wall and unplug it, and move the bottles somewhere cool while you work. Photograph the wiring and note how the sensing probe or capillary is routed and clipped before removing the old thermostat. Fit the new one in the same position with the probe secured exactly as before, then let the cabinet run for several hours and check the temperature with a thermometer. A refrigeration technician can do this for you if you prefer.
Questions about this part
My cabinet is a V190 with a longer model number. Will this suit it?
This thermostat is listed for the V190 cabinet. Full model numbers carry extra letters after V190, so send yours from the label inside the cabinet through the parts enquiry form and we will confirm the fit.
