Need a spare or replacement oven shelf?

A wire shelf holds baking trays, dishes and roasting pans at the height you choose in the oven. Shelves get bent by heavy loads, warped by high heat, scratched in the sink and sometimes simply lost. A bent shelf tilts food, can drag on the oven liner or door glass, and may not lock into the runners properly. Many cooks also add an extra shelf so they can bake on more levels at once. A matching genuine shelf slides into the side supports just like the one supplied with the oven.

Fitting the shelf

Make sure the oven is cool. Hold the shelf with any raised rail at the back and slide it into the chosen runner, checking it reaches the stop and sits level. Hand wash the shelf in warm soapy water and avoid harsh abrasives, which can strip the finish. Store any spare shelf flat so it stays straight.

Questions about this part

How do I find my oven's model number?

Open the oven door and look around the edge of the oven frame or the side of the door opening for the data label. It shows the model, such as POR668S or WVE636S, and often a product number starting with 94 as well.
