Product details
Part 4055613071 is a genuine Electrolux gas injector nipple for the auxiliary burner, sized 0.55mm for LPG. The auxiliary is the smallest burner on most gas hobs, used for simmering and gentle heat. This jet is also catalogued as 0131002408. It's for LPG only, so if your appliance runs on natural gas you'll need a different injector.
What a gas injector does and why the size matters
The injector, or jet, has a precisely sized hole that controls how much gas reaches the burner. LPG and natural gas need different hole sizes, and the 0.55mm size here suits the auxiliary burner on LPG. A blocked or damaged injector can leave the burner with a weak or uneven flame, a flame that goes out on low, or trouble lighting. Fitting the wrong size is dangerous and can give a sooty yellow flame or one that lifts off the burner.

Who should fit a gas injector
Changing an injector is gas work, so in Australia it must be done by a licensed gas fitter. They'll turn off the gas supply and isolate power at the wall, change the jet, then leak test the joint. They'll also check that the low flame setting on the burner tap is right for LPG before the cooktop goes back into use.
Questions about this part
Can I use this injector on natural gas?
No. 4055613071 is sized 0.55mm for LPG. Natural gas needs a larger jet, and fitting the wrong one is unsafe. A licensed gas fitter can confirm the correct injector for your gas type and burner.
