Signs the Dixell controller in your cabinet has failed
A digital controller reads the cabinet's temperature probe and switches the refrigeration on and off to hold the set point, and on many setups it also looks after defrost and fans. When it fails, the display may go blank, show a probe or alarm code that won't clear, or freeze on one reading. The cabinet can then run warm, run constantly and freeze, or stop cooling altogether. Before replacing the controller, check the probes and wiring, because a faulty probe can make a healthy controller look broken.

Replacing the controller
This controller is hard wired, so it should be fitted by a licensed electrician or refrigeration technician with the power isolated. Photograph the terminal connections and label every wire before anything is undone. Dixell controllers hold programmed settings such as set point, differential and defrost times, so record the parameters from the old unit if it still powers up. The new controller will need the same settings entered before the cabinet goes back into service.
