Part 4055574646 is the genuine blower fan used in a range of Electrolux and Simpson EZI dryers. It replaces the earlier 0026377002 and suits Electrolux EDV, EDS and LD models such as the EDV605, EDV6051 and LD605EB, Simpson EZI 39S500M, 39S600M and 39P400M dryers, and the SDV401 and SDV501. WDV5051 and WDV6051 models are on the list too.
Dryer taking forever to dry or running noisy
The blower fan moves air past the heater, through the tumbling clothes and out via the lint filter and vent. It's what carries moisture out of the drum, so when the fan cracks, loses blades or comes loose on its shaft, drying times blow out and clothes come out hot but damp. A broken fan often rattles, knocks or vibrates as it spins. Lint packed around the fan can also slow it down, and a blocked filter or vent makes the problem worse.

Replacing the blower fan
Unplug the dryer before taking any panels off. Clean out the lint as you go, as lint built up around the fan and heater is a fire risk. Note how the fan locks onto the motor shaft before removing it, and check the shaft and motor bearings for wear. Fit the new fan securely, reassemble and run the dryer empty to check it's quiet.
