Dryer door sagging or not closing? Check the hinge
The hinge carries the full weight of the dryer door every time it is opened, and it is also what lines the door up with the catch and the door switch. Once the hinge cracks, bends or works loose at its mounting point, the door starts to droop. A drooping door may not latch, can rub on the seal and often leaves the door switch unpressed, so the dryer refuses to start or stops partway through a cycle. Swapping the dryer door hinge
