Each hinge has a spring that balances the weight of the door, holds it shut against the seal and lets it open smoothly. Years of use stretch the springs and wear the pivots. Fitting the hinges
Switch the oven off and let it cool. Open the door fully, and if your hinges have locking levers, flip them over before lifting the door off, as the springs are under strong tension. The door is heavy, so get a second person to help. Swap the hinges one side at a time, check they sit square in their slots, then refit the door and confirm it closes firmly against the seal without rubbing.
