Knobs vary in shaft shape, markings and finish, and this number isn't tied to a particular appliance in our records. Check it against your parts list, or the number on the back of your old knob, before ordering so you get one that grips the shaft and reads correctly.

When a control knob needs replacing

A knob looks simple, but inside it has a shaped socket and often a spring clip or insert that grips the control shaft. Years of turning, heat and cleaning sprays can crack the socket or wear the clip, so the knob spins without moving the control, slips off in your hand or sits crooked. Markings can also wear away, which makes it hard to choose the right setting. A loose knob on a gas or heating control is a safety concern, as it's easy to leave a control partly on. Replacing it with the matching genuine knob restores a firm grip and clear markings.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 4055560652

Complete control knob assembly

For Electrolux group appliances that list this number

Check shaft shape and finish against your old knob

Fitting the knob

Make sure the control is in the off position and the appliance is switched off.
