Fitting the freezer shelf
Wear gloves when removing a cracked shelf and lift it out in one piece where possible. Wipe the supports dry so the new shelf doesn't freeze to them. Place the new shelf squarely on the supports and check it doesn't rock before reloading food. Keep the door shut for a while afterwards so the freezer can pull back down to temperature.
