It houses the control electronics that run the system, supplied together as a boxed assembly. No model list is on file and the part description doesn't say whether it belongs to the indoor or outdoor unit, so match 4055552162 to the label on your existing box, or your air conditioner's parts list, before ordering.

Air conditioner control faults and the electronic box

The electronic box holds the circuit boards and connections that tell the compressor, fans and valves what to do. When something inside fails, the air conditioner may not start at all, flash error codes, start and stop repeatedly, run the fan without cooling or heating, or ignore the remote. Power surges, storms, moisture and insects getting into the box are common causes. Because sensors, capacitors and wiring faults give similar symptoms, have the system properly diagnosed before replacing the electronics.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 4055552162

Electronic box assembly

Supplied as a complete assembly

For Electrolux group air conditioners

Installation

Air conditioners are usually hard-wired, so isolate the power at the circuit breaker and the outdoor isolator before any panels come off.
