Oven dead or elements not switching on
This board does the heavy lifting in the oven's electronics. Following instructions from the controls, it switches mains power to the elements, fans and lamp through its relays. Relays wear, solder joints crack with years of heat, and power surges can damage components. Typical faults include a blank display, an oven that shows the right settings but never heats, one element that won't come on, a fan that won't stop, or relays clicking with no heat. Test the elements and wiring before blaming the board, because a shorted element can damage a new one.

Before fitting a new power board
Isolate the oven at the switchboard, not just at the controls, and confirm it's dead before touching anything. Photograph every plug and wire on the old board and move them across one at a time. Handle the new board by its edges to avoid static damage. Because the job involves mains wiring inside a hard-wired appliance, it should be done by a licensed electrician or qualified appliance technician.

How do I know it's the power board and not an element?
Test the elements first. An element that is open circuit or shorting to earth gives similar symptoms, and a shorted one can take out a new board. If the elements test fine but get no power when called for, the power board is the next suspect.
