Part 4055549101 is the genuine black door handle for Chef ovens, supplied by Electrolux, which owns the Chef brand. There's also a silver version, so match the colour on your oven. Chef handles changed across ranges over the years, so check your model number from the rating plate, often visible around the door frame, and send it through if you'd like a fit check.

Chef oven door handle loose or cracked?

The handle takes the full pull of opening the oven door, often with a hot door and a damp tea towel draped over it. Plastic ends can crack, fixing screws can strip their threads and the bar can come loose. A wobbly handle is more than cosmetic, as it makes the door harder to open smoothly and you're more likely to brush the hot glass. If tightening the screws doesn't hold, or a mounting point has broken, a new handle is the fix.

Part details

Genuine Chef part 4055549101, supplied by Electrolux

Oven door handle

Black finish

Colour

Black

Fitting a Chef oven door handle

Make sure the oven is off and cold. Look first for screws under a top trim or at the handle ends, as some Chef doors have to be removed and laid flat on a towel to reach them. Keep screws and spacers in order as they come out, and tighten evenly so the new handle sits straight and doesn't rock.

Questions about this part

Is this handle black or silver?

This listing is the black handle, 4055549101.
