Oven fan noisy or cooking unevenly?
The fan blade sits behind the rear panel of the oven cavity, pushing hot air around the oven so food cooks evenly on every shelf. A blade can work loose on the motor shaft, warp from heat or get bent when the back panel is removed for cleaning. The result is a scraping, rattling or rumbling noise, wobble you can see through the vents, or hot and cold spots in your baking. If the blade spins freely and true but the noise remains, the fan motor bearings are the more likely cause.

Changing the fan blade
Isolate power to the oven and let it cool. Remove the shelves and the rear fan cover inside the cavity. Hold the blade still and undo the centre nut, noting which way it turns, as some fan nuts have a left-hand thread. Slide the new blade onto the shaft so it seats fully, refit the nut firmly and spin it by hand to check it clears the back wall. Refit the cover and run the fan to listen for noise.
