Genuine injector 4055545885 feeds a measured flow of natural gas into the auxiliary burner, the smallest burner on Electrolux group gas cooktops. It's for NG installations only, not LPG. We don't have the orifice size or a model list on file, so check the number or size stamped on the old injector, and confirm with the cooktop's model and PNC. Fitting must be done by a licensed gas fitter.
Small gas burner with a weak or yellow flame
The injector is a brass jet with a precisely sized hole that sets how much gas reaches the burner. On the auxiliary burner, used for simmering and gentle heat, the hole is tiny and easily blocked by spills, rust or debris. A partly blocked injector gives a small, weak or uneven flame, a burner that won't stay lit on low, or one that won't light at all. The wrong injector for the gas type causes large yellow, sooty flames or a flame that lifts off. Natural gas and LPG injectors are not interchangeable.

Injector replacement is gas fitter work
In Australia, changing injectors is work for a licensed gas fitter. The gas is turned off, the burner parts are lifted out and the old injector is unscrewed from the burner cup with the correct size socket. The fitter then checks the gas type on the data plate, fits the new injector, leak tests the connection and confirms the flame on high and low.
Questions about this part
Can I use this injector on LPG?
No. This injector is sized for natural gas. LPG burners use different, smaller injectors, and fitting the wrong one is unsafe. If you're converting a cooktop between gas types, your gas fitter needs the full conversion parts for your model.
