Product details
Genuine set 4055528907 is the group of switches fitted to the gas valves on an Electrolux group cooktop. On most gas cooktops these switches close when you push and turn a knob, which tells the ignition generator to spark. We don't have a model list or the number of switches in the set on file, so compare it with the valves on your cooktop or send the model and PNC.
Gas cooktop igniter clicking or not sparking
Each gas tap has a small switch mounted on its body. Pressing the knob in operates the switch and the ignition generator sends sparks to every burner electrode. When a switch sticks closed, often after a boil-over runs down into the valve, the igniters keep clicking with all knobs off. When one fails open, that knob won't spark at all while the others work. Moisture, grease and cleaning spray are the usual causes. Drying the cooktop out sometimes cures a stuck switch, but a burnt or cracked one needs replacing.

Fitting the valve switches
Turn off the gas supply and isolate the power to the cooktop before starting. The switches clip onto the valve spindles under the cooktop top, with wires running to the ignition generator. Photograph the wiring route so leads stay clear of hot burners. Because it means working around the gas valves, have a licensed gas fitter do the job and leak test afterwards.
Questions about this part
My igniters click all the time. Do I need the whole set?
A constant click usually means one switch is stuck or wet. On many cooktops the switches are joined on one harness, so the set is replaced as a unit once drying out hasn't helped.
