Chimney covers usually come as an upper and a lower piece that overlap to hide the ducting between the canopy and the ceiling. Size, finish and models aren't on our records, so check the number in your hood's parts list or send its model and PNC before ordering.

Replacing a damaged rangehood chimney cover

The flue cover is mostly cosmetic, but it's also the first thing people see. It hides the duct and wiring above the canopy and gives the hood its finished look. Covers get dented during installation or renovations, scratched by harsh cleaning products, or go missing when a hood is moved to a house with a different ceiling height. The lower section sits on the canopy and the upper piece overlaps it to reach the ceiling. If the finish or shape of your old piece differs, check the code before ordering.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux group part 4055432779

Lower chimney section (low tube) of the flue cover

Works with a matching upper section, sold separately

Size, finish and models not on file

Fitting the lower flue cover

Turn the rangehood off at the wall. On most chimney hoods the upper section slides up and can be held with tape while you remove the lower piece, which usually screws to a bracket or sits in a recess on the canopy. Fit the new cover with its seam facing the wall, then lower the upper section back over it.
