Fitting the lower flue cover

Turn the rangehood off at the wall. On most chimney hoods the upper section slides up and can be held with tape while you remove the lower piece, which usually screws to a bracket or sits in a recess on the canopy. Fit the new cover with its seam facing the wall, then lower the upper section back over it. Protect the finish with a soft cloth while you work.
