Product details
Electrolux group part 4055387270 is a genuine cross-flow rotor, the barrel-style fan that runs along the inside of a split system's indoor unit. Its length, diameter and compatible models aren't on our records, and rotors for different capacities can look very alike. Compare the size with your old rotor and check the number before ordering, or send your indoor unit's model and serial number for us to check.
Indoor unit noise from a damaged fan rotor
Air enters the top of the indoor unit, passes through the filter and coil, and the cross-flow rotor sweeps it out through the louvres. Because the rotor is long and light, small problems make big noise. Cracked blades, a chipped end, a worn bearing or a heavy coat of dust and mould throw it out of balance. You may hear rumbling, ticking or squealing, feel vibration through the wall, or notice the airflow has dropped. A rotor that has slipped on the motor shaft can also cause noise without moving much air.

Replacing the rotor
Isolate the air conditioner at its circuit breaker or outdoor isolator first. The rotor comes out after the front panel, drain tray and often the coil are moved, so it's a job for an air conditioning technician or licensed electrician. Mark the position of the rotor on the motor shaft before removal. Check the end bearing, clean the coil while it's open and test for smooth, quiet running.
Questions about this part
How do I make sure the rotor is the right size?
Electrolux group split systems use rotors of different lengths and diameters for different capacities. Measure your old rotor end to end and across the blades, and match the part number on it, or send your indoor unit model so we can check.
