Why a 12V rangehood light stops working
Low voltage LEDs give bright, even light over the cooktop for very little power, and they last a long time. When one does go out, a few checks help find the cause. If every light on the hood fails at once, the power supply or the light switch is the more likely culprit. If only one is out, swap it with a working light. Fitting the new LED light
Switch the hood off at the wall before you start. Remove the grease filter, then ease the old light out of its opening with a flat plastic tool to avoid scratching the hood. Unplug the lead, plug in the new LED and press it into place. Restore the power and test the light.
