Product details
The genuine LG door seal for several XD series dishwashers carries part number 3920DD3005J, and it takes over from the earlier 3920DD3005G and 3920DD3005E. It's listed for the XD3A25PS and XD3A25UMB, the XD4B24PS and XD4B24UPS, and the XD5B14PS. If water or steam is escaping around the door edge, a worn seal is worth checking first.
LG dishwasher leaking at the door
The door seal sits around the tub opening and keeps spray and steam inside while the dishwasher runs. Constant heat, detergent and food grease slowly break the rubber down. Once it shrinks, splits, comes away from its channel or gets crushed in a corner, you may find water on the floor in front of the dishwasher, wet cabinetry beside it, steam escaping during drying, or a leak warning on machines that have one. Wipe the seal clean and inspect it closely, as small tears and flattened sections are easy to miss.

Changing the door seal
Turn the dishwasher off at the wall and open the door fully. Note where the seal starts and finishes, then pull it out of its retaining channel and clean the channel well. Press the new seal in evenly, without stretching it to fit, so it lies flat around the corners. Close the door, check it latches normally and run a short cycle to confirm there are no leaks.
Questions about this part
My old seal says 3920DD3005G. Is this the right one?
Yes. 3920DD3005J takes over from both 3920DD3005G and 3920DD3005E, so it's the seal to order if your old one carries either of those numbers and your model is on the list.
