Fan oven not heating? Signs the fan element has failed
The fan element heats the air that the rear fan pushes around the cavity, giving even temperatures across every shelf. A failed element usually leaves the fan turning and the light on while the oven stays cool or crawls up to temperature. Some ovens still heat on top and bottom functions, which points straight at the fan element. Visible splits, bulges or burnt spots on the tube are a giveaway, and an element shorting to earth will trip the safety switch when fan mode is selected.

Changing a fan forced element
Isolate the oven at the circuit breaker or wall isolator, since most built-in ovens are hard-wired, and let it cool. A licensed electrician should do the work if you're not experienced with mains wiring. Remove the fan cover, take a photo of the terminal connections, and transfer the wires across one at a time. Run fan bake for a few minutes afterwards to test.
