Signs your oven door gasket is worn out

A good door seal keeps the heat inside the cavity, which lets the thermostat hold temperature and stops the controls and cabinetry around the oven getting hot. Replacing the front frame gasket

Switch the oven off at the circuit breaker and let it cool. Note where the join sits and how the gasket is held, usually by clips or hooks that push into holes around the frame. Ease the old seal out, then fit the new one starting at the top centre and work around evenly without stretching it. Close the door on a strip of paper at several points to check it grips all round.
