It belongs to the Electrolux cooking parts range and is the control used to step the cooking temperature up or down. Each press or turn on the plus or minus side asks the control system to raise or lower the setting. When it wears, the setting may jump, refuse to move in one direction, need several firm presses, or not register at all. Food that comes out under or overcooked at a familiar setting can also point to a control problem, although a faulty sensor or thermostat can cause the same thing, so test before you buy.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part number 3570839021

Temperature selector with +/- adjustment

From the Electrolux cooking parts range

Before replacing the selector

Isolate the oven at the switchboard or switch it off at the wall, and let it cool.
