Fitting and checking the new plate
Clean out the cavity floor, the roller ring and the drive coupler first. Lay the plate on the ring so the shaped hub underneath engages the coupler, then rotate it by hand until it drops into place. A short test run with a mug of water will show whether it turns freely. If it grinds or rocks, check that the roller ring is seated properly.
