Product details

Fisher & Paykel's genuine 12V fan motor kit, part 306094P, also goes by 881113 and 820682. It's on file for E331T and E372B fridges, the E381T, E402B, E411T and E415H, then the RF331T, RF372B and RF381T, RF402B and RF411T, plus the E442BRX4PH and RF135B. If cold air has stopped moving through your fridge, this kit is a common fix.

Fridge not cooling evenly? Check the fan motor

In a fridge that uses fan-forced air, the fan pushes air across the cold evaporator and through ducts into the compartments. When the motor slows or stops, the cold stays trapped near the evaporator. Typical signs are a fridge section that warms up while the freezer still feels cold, frost building on the rear panel, longer run times and noises such as buzzing, ticking or grinding. If you can't hear the fan while the compressor is running, the motor is a strong suspect.

Changing the fan motor

Switch the fridge off at the wall and pull the plug before you start. Move the food into a cooler and allow any frost to melt if the motor sits behind the freezer's rear panel. Take a photo of the wiring and how the motor hangs in its mounts, then copy the same layout with the new kit. Check the blade spins freely before power goes back on.
