Fitting the new knob
Make sure the oven is off and the panel is cool. Pull the old knob straight off the shaft, without twisting, so you don't strain the switch behind. Line up the flat on the shaft with the shape inside the new knob and press it firmly home. Turn it through each setting to check it lines up with the markings on the panel.
