Technika gas cooktops and cookers that won't spark on one burner can be fixed with this genuine ignition pin, part 30402400003, supplied with a 350mm lead. It also goes by 32300006. Over 60 models are on file, spanning the H640, H750 and H950 cooktops, TGC gas cooktops, TB cookers and the RV and VH ranges. Examples are the H640STXPRO and H950STBGPRO, the TGC9GLWSS, the TB64GWSS-3 and the VH64FSS.
Technika burner not lighting or not clicking?
When you push and turn a burner knob, the spark module sends a high voltage pulse down the lead to the ignition pin, which sparks across to the burner and lights the gas. The ceramic body can crack, the tip can become coated in grease or burnt food, and the lead can break or short against the cooktop frame. The result is a burner that clicks without lighting, no click at all on one burner, or sparks jumping to the wrong place. Clean the tip and dry the burner before deciding the pin is faulty.

Fitting the ignition pin
Isolate the electricity and turn off the gas before starting. Work on gas appliances should be done by a licensed gas fitter. The knobs, burners and cooktop top come off to reach the pin. Route the new lead the same way as the old one, away from hot surfaces and sharp edges, and connect it to the same spark module terminal. Test every burner for a strong spark and clean ignition.

How do I know the lead length is right?
This pin comes with a 350mm lead. Measure the old lead from the pin to the spark module plug. A lead that's too short won't reach, and an overly long one can sit against hot or sharp surfaces.
