Technika part 30101200187 is the genuine 1800W fan forced element in a double ring design, the element that sits behind the fan cover at the back of the oven. Models on file include the TGO65X and TGO65ES, the TGO66TX, the TGO614ABK and TGPO611ABK, and the TGDO84TBK, along with the TO605TX, TO610TBX and TO615AFBX. Fit 30101200187 when fan forced cooking has gone cold but other settings still heat.
Technika fan forced oven not getting hot
On fan forced settings, this ring element heats the air that the rear fan pushes around the oven. Lose the element and you still hear the fan and see the light, yet the oven barely warms on any fan function. Other clues are a safety switch that trips when you pick a fan setting, a blistered or broken section on the element, or a burning smell. When conventional bake and grill still heat normally, the fan element is the most likely fault rather than the controls.

Changing the fan element
Isolate the oven at the switchboard and let it cool fully. Remove the racks and the fan cover inside the oven, then undo the element screws. The terminals are usually reached from behind, so the oven may need to come out of its cabinet. Photograph the wiring before disconnecting it. Ovens are normally hard-wired, so have a licensed electrician make the connection.
