Bosch washing machine door handle broken?
The door handle takes a pull every time the machine is loaded and unloaded, and on many Bosch front loaders it's also what frees the door from its catch. After years of use the handle can crack, a spring can break, or the handle can snap off at its pivot. Then the door won't open, or only opens with a struggle, and the washing is stuck inside. Avoid forcing the door with a screwdriver, which can damage the lock or the door seal.

Changing the handle
Unplug the machine first. If the door is stuck shut, use the emergency release near the pump filter where your model has one, and drain any water before opening. Take the door off and separate the frames to reach the handle, photographing the springs and hook as you go. Fit the new handle, reassemble and check the door closes and opens cleanly.
