Euromaid or Baumatic oven functions not working?
Turning the function knob rotates this switch, and each of its eight positions connects a different combination of elements, fan and light. That's how one oven offers grill, fan forced, bake and other modes. When contacts inside burn or wear, a single setting may stop heating, two functions may behave the same, or the oven light and fan may cut out. Some failures are intermittent, working one day and not the next. Discoloured terminals, a burnt smell near the controls or a knob that's lost its positive click are other clues.

Swapping the multi-function switch
Switch the oven off at the switchboard. Pull off the function knob, remove the control panel screws and ease the panel forward to reach the switch. Photograph the wiring, then move each lead across to the same terminal on the new switch. Tighten the mounting screws, refit the panel and test every position. Hard-wired ovens should be reconnected by a licensed electrician.
