Signs your Beko or Euromaid oven thermostat has failed
The thermostat reads the oven temperature and switches the elements on and off to hold the setting on the dial. When it drifts out of calibration, food burns at normal settings or takes far longer than the recipe says. A failed thermostat can also leave the oven cold even though the light and fan come on, or let it keep heating past the set point. Test with an oven thermometer. If the reading is well off the dial, or the elements never cycle off, the thermostat is the likely cause once element and wiring faults are ruled out.

Replacing the oven thermostat
Isolate the oven at the switchboard and let it cool fully. Hard-wired ovens should be handled by a licensed electrician. Before removing the old thermostat, note how the sensing probe and any capillary tube are mounted and routed, and photograph the wiring. Fit the new one the same way without kinking the tube, then check the temperature with an oven thermometer.
