This generic dual grill element, part 262900098, is made to suit Beko, Euromaid and Baumatic ovens. It has two circuits rated 1100W and 1000W and replaces Beko numbers 262900064, 262900070, 262900082 and 262900094. More than 80 models are on file, including the BDVC667W and BDC643S, the OIF22300X and ODF22300X, and the CS60, GDDS60 and BS6.
Oven grill not working or only half heating
Sitting in the roof of the oven, a dual grill element has two separate sections so the oven can grill a smaller area or the full width. Each section can fail on its own, so a common complaint is the full grill working while the half grill stays cold, or the reverse. Other signs include no glow at all, toast or cheese that won't brown, a split or blistered sheath, or the safety switch tripping when the grill is turned on. Checking each section with a multimeter will show which one has failed.

Fitting the dual grill
Switch the oven off at the circuit breaker and let it cool. Remove the shelves, then release the element from the roof of the cavity and draw it forward. Take a clear photo of the wiring, since a dual element has an extra terminal, and transfer each wire to the matching spot. A licensed electrician should reconnect any hard-wired oven.
