Fan forced oven not heating? Check the element
In fan forced mode, the circular element and the fan work together to spread heat evenly through the oven. When the element burns out, the fan still spins and the light still comes on, but the oven stays cold or barely warms. Other signs are uneven baking, much longer cooking times, a visible break or blister on the element, or the safety switch tripping as soon as fan forced is selected. A multimeter check across the two terminals will confirm an open circuit element before you buy.

Replacing a fan oven element
Turn the oven off at the circuit breaker and let it cool. Built-in ovens are usually hard-wired, so have a licensed electrician fit the element. Inside the oven, remove the fan cover at the back to reach the element. Photograph the wiring at the rear before disconnecting it. Check the new element's terminals line up with the old holes, fit it without bending the coil, and test on fan forced.
