Fitting the new knob
Make sure the oven is off and cool. Pull the old knob straight off the spindle without twisting or levering against the panel. Note which way the flat on the spindle faces, line the new knob up to match and press it on firmly. Turn it through its full range to check that it grips and returns cleanly to the off position.
