Beko oven door dropping open or not sealing?

The oven door is carried by two hinges, one on each side, and each has a spring that pulls the door closed and controls how it opens. When a hinge spring weakens or the arm wears, the door can fall open, sit unevenly, stop short of closing or bounce back up. Heat then leaks from the top of the door, the knobs and panel run hotter than they should, and food takes longer to cook. A hinge bent by weight on the open door causes the same trouble.

Replacing the door hinge

Let the oven cool fully and switch it off at the switchboard. On most ovens you open the door wide, flip the locking levers on both hinges up, then close the door to its stop and lift it off at an angle. Unscrew the worn hinge, fit the new one and refit the door, making sure both hinge arms engage before the levers go back down. Check it closes square.
