Oven fan running but no heat? The fan forced element is the usual suspect
On fan forced settings, the circular element heats the air while the fan spreads it evenly through the oven. When the element burns out, the fan still spins and the oven light still works, but the oven stays cold or warms only slowly on fan forced functions. Other signs include a visible break, blister or bulge in the element sheath, a burning smell or flash at the moment it failed, and the safety switch tripping as soon as fan forced is selected. A continuity check with the power isolated confirms the fault.

Fitting a fan forced element
Isolate the oven at the circuit breaker and wait until it's cold. The element is reached by removing the fan cover inside the oven, and the terminals are usually accessed from the back panel. Photograph the wiring, transfer the connections to the new element and fit any seal or gasket at the mounting plate. Hard-wired ovens must be connected by a licensed electrician.
