Fan bake not working on a Blanco or ILVE oven
In fan bake the rear fan pulls air across this element and spreads the heat through the whole cavity. If the element breaks, the fan still spins and the oven lamp still lights, yet the temperature barely moves. Watch for the safety switch tripping when a fan setting is chosen, cakes that brown on one side only, or a visible split or bubble on the element. A quick check across the two terminals with a multimeter tells you whether the element has gone open circuit.

Fitting the 2400W fan element
Kill the power at the switchboard and wait for the oven to cool. Lift out the shelves, remove the fan cover and undo the screws holding the element to the rear panel. Slide the oven out to reach the terminals and photograph the wiring and earth before disconnecting. Fit the new element, connect it the same way and refit the cover. A licensed electrician must reconnect a hard-wired oven.
