1760014649 Genuine Rangehood Carbon Filter 240 x 193 x 10mm for Electrolux Group Rangehoods, Charcoal Odour Filter

Kitchen smells hanging around after cooking? Part 1760014649 is a genuine Electrolux carbon filter for rangehoods, measuring 240 x 193 x 10mm. Carbon filters clean the air when a rangehood recirculates it back into the room rather than ducting it outside. This one comes from the Electrolux group range, so measure your old filter or check 1760014649 in the parts list for your rangehood before ordering.

Why rangehood carbon filters need replacing

In recirculating mode, a rangehood draws air through the grease filters and then through activated carbon, which traps cooking odours before the air is blown back into the kitchen. Carbon can only absorb so much. Once it's saturated, smells linger, the kitchen takes longer to clear, and the hood may sound like it's working harder for little result. Your user manual will say whether the filter is disposable and how often it should be changed.

Changing the carbon filter

Switch the rangehood off at the wall and let the lights and hood cool. Remove the grease filters to get to the carbon filter, noting how the old one clips or slots in. Check the new filter's size against the old one, fit it the same way round, and refit the grease filters. Write the date on the frame or in your phone so you know when it's due again.
