Signs a Westinghouse fridge door seal is failing
The door seal is a flexible gasket with a magnetic strip inside that pulls the door tight against the cabinet. Once it splits, hardens or loses its shape, warm room air leaks in. You may notice frost building up near the door, condensation or sweating around the opening, food not staying cold, or the compressor running much longer than it used to. A simple test is to close the door on a sheet of paper. If it slides out easily at any point, the seal is no longer gripping there.

Fitting a new fridge seal
Switch the fridge off at the wall and empty the door shelves first. New seals are often creased from packing, so warm the seal with a hair dryer on low or soak it in warm water until it relaxes. Work around the door one side at a time, fitting it however the old one was held, whether pressed into a channel or under retaining screws. Check the closed door with the paper test before restocking.
