Product details
St George side opening ovens rely on a door catch to hold the door shut against the seal, and 15128KIT is a generic replacement catch kit to suit them. It's supplied as a catch assembly. If your oven door swings open on its own, doesn't latch with a positive click or rattles when the fan runs, a worn catch is the likely cause. Make sure your St George oven has a side hinged door before ordering.
St George oven door won't stay closed
On a side opening oven there's no gravity or hinge spring holding the door shut, so the catch does all the work. It grips the door against the seal so heat stays in the cavity and the door can't drift open during cooking. Catches wear, their springs weaken and plastic parts crack with heat. The signs are easy to spot. The door springs open, needs to be pushed or slammed to latch, closes loosely with a visible gap, or lets heat and steam escape down the side. A failed catch also makes the oven slower to heat and harder to keep at temperature.

Fitting the door catch
Turn the oven off at the isolator and wait until it's cold. Compare the new catch with the old one before removing anything, and photograph its position and any packers or shims. Fit the new catch, then close the door gently and check it latches firmly and pulls the door evenly against the seal. Adjust the position slightly if the door rattles or needs force to close.
