140274607013 Genuine Sponge Pad 130 x 20 x 3.5mm for Electrolux Group Appliances, Replacement Foam Pad Strip

Electrolux group part 140274607013 is a genuine sponge pad measuring 130 x 20 x 3.5mm. Thin foam pads like this are fitted inside appliances to cushion panels, stop rattles, fill small gaps or keep components from rubbing. It's a small part, but the right size and density matter for it to do its job. The appliance isn't named in the description, so compare the size and number with the pad you're replacing.

When a small foam pad is worth replacing

Foam pads break down with heat, moisture and age. They flatten, crumble or lose their adhesive, and the job they were doing quietly stops. That can show up as a new buzz or rattle, a panel that vibrates when the appliance runs, a draught or leak where a gap used to be sealed, or a part that now rubs and wears. When an appliance is apart for another repair, it's a good time to renew any tired pads you find.

Fitting the pad

Switch the appliance off at the wall before removing any panels. Scrape away the old pad and any adhesive left behind, clean the surface with a little methylated spirits and let it dry. Fit the new pad in the same spot, and if it's self-adhesive, press it firmly along its length. Reassemble and listen for any remaining rattles when the appliance runs.

Questions about this part

Is the pad self-adhesive?

The Electrolux description gives the size but doesn't say whether it has an adhesive backing. Check how your old pad was fixed, and if it was glued, a suitable contact adhesive can be used. Send us your model if you'd like the part confirmed.
