On a chimney style rangehood the flue cover is the sleeve that hides the ducting between the canopy and the ceiling. This is the outer piece, which pairs with a matching inner cover so the two can overlap to suit your ceiling height. Check that your old cover or parts list shows 140263001012.

Why replace a rangehood flue cover

The flue cover doesn't change how well the rangehood extracts, but it finishes the installation and keeps ducting, brackets and cabling out of sight. Covers tend to be replaced after a dent during a renovation or move, scratches from cleaning, discolouration above a busy cooktop, or when a second hand rangehood turns up without one. Because covers come as inner and outer sections in different lengths, it pays to measure the old one and confirm which section you need. This one is the outer section at 575mm.

Part details

Genuine Electrolux part 140263001012

Outer flue cover section

Length 575mm

For Electrolux group chimney rangehoods

Length

575mm

Section

Outer

Fitting the outer flue cover

Switch the rangehood off at the wall before working around it. Outer covers generally slide over the inner section and fix to the canopy or a wall bracket with small screws, so keep the old screws handy. Use a step ladder rather than standing on the benchtop, and lay a towel over the cooktop below in case anything drops.

Questions about this part

Is the inner flue cover included?

No. Part 140263001012 is the outer cover only.
