Changing the detergent drawer

With the machine switched off, pull the drawer fully open, press the release tab, often marked on the softener compartment, and lift it out. Clean the drawer housing while it's out, as built-up gunk can cause leaks of its own. Slide the new drawer in until it clicks, then run a short rinse cycle and watch for drips below the drawer.
