140207924022 Genuine Gasket VCZ for Electrolux Group Fridges, Replacement Fridge Gasket Seal

140207924022 is a genuine Electrolux group gasket carrying the VCZ tag in its description. VCZ also appears on an Electrolux group fridge display part we stock, so we've listed this gasket under fridges, but the record doesn't say exactly where it fits. It's best ordered when you've got this number from a parts list, a technician or the old part. Send us your model details if you'd like it checked first.

What a fridge gasket does and why it fails

Gaskets form a seal between two parts so that air, water or cold can't get past. In a fridge that might be the door seal that keeps cold air in, or a smaller gasket inside a water or air path. With time, rubber hardens, splits, tears or takes a set so it no longer presses evenly. Depending on where it fits, a failed gasket can show up as frost or ice build-up, condensation and sweating, water leaks, the fridge running constantly or warmer temperatures than usual.

Before fitting the gasket

Turn the fridge off at the wall before working on it. If the gasket is part of a water line, shut off the water supply and have towels ready. Clean the mating surfaces so the new gasket can seal, and avoid stretching it. Once fitted, run the fridge for a few hours and check for leaks, frost or sweating around the area.

Questions about this part

Is this the fridge door seal?

Our record lists it only as a gasket with a VCZ tag, so we can't confirm it's the door seal. Door seals are usually listed with the door size or position. Send us your model and product numbers and we'll check what 140207924022 fits.
